“I like you, I accept you.” Did you choose your employee this way? You may have just made a big mistake and selected someone who doesn’t fit your company at all.
When selecting employees, mistakes and biases often play a role, which can lead to discrimination. First impressions and emotions suppress objective decision-making. Mistakes happen that a robot would not make. Objectivity is one of the reasons why artificial intelligence will become more prevalent in the field of human resources.
Do you fit a position that means nothing to you?
The advantages of a virtual assistant in HR are also described by Vojtěch Dlouhý, the founder of the tech startup Feedyou, which creates virtual assistants.
“Artificial intelligence will handle the routine for you, and you can focus on people, communicate in your language and style, identify suitable candidates, recommend them to you, schedule interviews based on your availability, connect to your systems, ensure GDPR compliance, actively collect feedback from candidates, and respond on your behalf even outside of working hours and on holidays,” he says and adds that 63 percent of people communicate with their virtual assistants outside of working hours regularly.
